About the Trainer

We are honoured to have Fr. Dr Jean Gové leading these sessions. Fr. Gové is a Catholic priest, educator, and speaker who helps people understand how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are shaping everyday life. Ordained in 2019, he holds a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews and serves as the Archdiocese of Malta's Coordinator for AI. He also represents the Holy See on AI-related discussions at the Council of Europe.

Through his work, Fr. Gové promotes the responsible and ethical use of technology and regularly supports schools, families, and communities in navigating the opportunities and challenges of the digital age. During this session, he will help parents better understand AI, technology, online safety, and the responsible use of digital tools in everyday family life.

We look forward to seeing you for what promises to be an insightful and practical session.

Kind regards,

Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA)

Benefits of the Programme >

The Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) is the primary authority dedicated to promoting governmental policies that positions Malta as a centre of excellence for technological innovation.

In addition to our regulatory and promotional roles, MDIA is proud to offer a specialised Youth Programme. This summer school is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years, aiming to nurture their creative abilities in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation.

The programme is structured to cater to three age groups: 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12, depending on the number of participants. Through this initiative, kids are equipped with essential skills in AI and digital innovation, providing a strong foundation for future educational and career opportunities. Students who complete the summer school will gain a comprehensive understanding of these critical fields, preparing them for further education at the secondary, postsecondary, and tertiary levels.
